Cleaning Nonstick Product

How do I clean my nonstick pan?

We recommend washing nonstick cookware by hand, using a mild dish soap, warm water, and a soft nylon brush or nylon scrub pad. This will remove food and grease particles that may burn when your pan is reheated.

If food remains on the nonstick surface, boil a mixture of two parts water and one part white vinegar in your pan on medium heat for 5–10 minutes to dislodge food particles. Let stand until cooled, then wash with warm, soapy water, and a soft nylon brush. Rinse and dry.

Even if your nonstick product is labeled as dishwasher safe, washing it by hand helps it last much longer. Extremely hot water and harsh detergents will cause cookware coatings (including nonstick) to deteriorate faster than if they are washed by hand.

Degreasers can be used to clean oil residue from nonstick cookware. We have tested the following brands and they all work well: Simple Green, LA's Totally Awesome Orange All Purpose Degreasers, Oil Eater, and Easy Off. After using degreaser, be sure to wash and rinse your nonstick cookware thoroughly before cooking with it again.

*Do not use steel wool or any abrasive cleansers when cleaning nonstick cookware.
